Developing quarry resource opportunities for the construction materials and renewables sectors
ARDG is a resource development business that specialises in identifying, developing and operating strategic quarry resources to supply major infrastructure projects and replenish resource-depleted Australian construction material markets.
Since inception in mid-2016, ARDG has obtained approval for 12 greenfields quarry operations to supply the construction material requirements of major renewable energy projects, including the Sapphire, Crudine Ridge and Rye Park Wind Farm projects. These operations delivered significant cost saving benefits to these projects, while also reducing construction traffic impacts on the surrounding communities. ARDG is currently seeking planning approval for two new on-site quarries to support the construction of the Liverpool Range and Winterbourne wind farms.
ARDG is also in the process of developing a large hard rock quarry resource located 20 kilometres north of Newcastle. When commissioned, the Stone Ridge Quarry Project - SSD10432 will supply quarry products to the Lower Hunter, Central Coast and northern Sydney construction material markets. The Project was determined by the Independent Planning Commission on 16 December 2024, with formal notification provided by the NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure on 18 December 2024.
