​Justin has 30 years practice in environmental consulting and planning, and 13 years professional experience as a Principal Environmental Consultant.  He has extensive experience in the fields of strategic direction and management of statutory Development Approvals and permitting, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), natural resource management, environmental management planning and compliance reporting across multiple industry sectors.  These include resource (mining/extractive industry), infrastructure, and urban/industrial/rural development in a wide range of environments, for clients in the private sector, across all three tiers of government and statutory authorities, in multiple jurisdictions across Australia.

He has been responsible for directing/managing the investigation and preparation of numerous strategic planning, impact assessment, management plan and project compliance reporting for over 500 projects.  He therefore has a solid grounding in the interdisciplinary nature of impact assessment, a sound understanding of all the major sub-disciplines that contribute to the EIA process and the strategic implications of the outcomes of each discipline to the overall success of each project.  He also has extensive experience in strategic linear infrastructure development, in addition to rail, water/sewer and road infrastructure projects.  He has also acted as an ‘expert witness’ in NSW Land and Environment Court hearings.

Justin has extensive experience in liaising with government authorities at all levels, developers, academics and various industry and community representatives.  He has been involved in a diverse range of projects that have developed high-level project execution and management skills, including all aspect of the management of large, multi-disciplinary project teams.  His experience in  the planning and assessment system across all tiers of government provides a basis for his high level strategic planning/project scoping skills.  ​
