Stone Ridge Quarry Project
Environmental Impact Statement
A comprehensive Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) was prepared to support the Project approval process by Umwelt (Australia) Pty Limited, with support from a broad range of specialist consultants. The Project was assessed against the principles of ecologically sustainable development as required by NSW planning legislation.
Following public exhibition of the Project, a Submissions Report and Project Amendment Report were also prepared. Together, these documents provided the assessment of potential environmental and social impacts. This assessment concluded that while the Project, like any large-scale extractive development, would have impacts, these impacts can be effectively managed, mitigated and offset and the development will result in significant economic benefits.
