Four Winds No. 1 Quarry Project- Status: Completed
ARDG’s Four Winds No. 1 Quarry Project is located on the rural property ‘Four Winds’ at Pyramul, approximately 36 kilometres south of Mudgee, in the NSW Central Tablelands.
The Four Winds No. 1 Quarry was a critical source of high quality construction materials for use in the development of the adjacent Crudine Ridge Wind Farm Project (CRWFP).
The quarry development application was approved by Mid-Western Regional Council (DA-0221/2018) on 27 July 2018 for extraction and processing of up to 30,000 m3 of material per annum. Environment Protection Licence (EPL) No. 21144 was issued by NSW Environment Protection Agency on 1 August 2018.
Initial development of the quarry commenced in September 2018 under licence, with the material used for the construction of the internal wind farm access roads. Quarry operations and site rehabilitation were completed in late 2020.
