Killarney Quarry Project- Status: Completed
ARDG’s Killarney Quarry Project is located on the rural property ‘Killarney’ near Sallys Flat, approximately 11 kilometres northwest of Sofala, in the NSW Central Tablelands.
The Killarney Quarry produced high quality construction materials for use in the development of the adjacent Crudine Ridge Wind Farm Project (CRWFP).
The quarry development application was approved by Bathurst Regional Council (DA-2018/188) on 31 August 2018 for extraction and processing of up to 30,000 m3 of material per annum. Environment Protection Licence (EPL) No. 21167 was issued by NSW Environment Protection Agency on 13 September 2018.
Initial development of the quarry commenced in September 2018 under licence, with the material used for the construction of the internal wind farm access roads. Quarry operations and site rehabilitation were completed in late 2020.
